When a child gets sick, his or her parents will take even greater care about him or her. Their parents instinct starts working twice as hard, so with all the bitter medication their child gets even more attention, kindness and presents. It is a natural reaction of parents sometimes fries back at us, first of all some kids who do not get enough attention in daily life start getting sick more often in order to have this missing part in their lives, secondly when they become adults every illness will be with a hint of delight, as they still expect more attention from everybody.
So that is why how we come up with constantly complaining wives, grannies calling the ambulance simply to have some conversation with doctors, strangers complaining about their failures with women. Partially those people simply do not want to become completely healthy, in order to have those tiny bits of attention, which they beg by telling all the stories about their health.
What they do not get is that polite listening to their stories is simply a similarity to a real interest in conversation! Can you really compare a pitiful concerned look of your spouse after her husband's failure in bed with a delighted excitement after a great night together? And these two situations are divided by a little pill of Viagra, taken by a person who wants to be healthy and does not need any compassion.
Do not be afraid of getting rid of your illnesses and becoming an interesting companion for your close friends and relatives.
Diet helping to lose weight: low-calorie, milk and single-food diets
Low-calorie diet
A low-calorie diet (LCD) is another example of formula food but differs in some ways from a VLCD. Once calorie intake falls below 1200 kcal, it is impossible to keep a correct nutritional balance by eating 'normal' food alone, so LCD formulae provide some calories and nutrients that, when added to a restricted 'normal food' diet, maintain the overall balance. As VLCDs make up the whole daily intake of calories, vitamins, minerals and so on, they must be nutritionally complete in their own right.
Milk diet
A milk diet is similar to a VLCD except the 'formula' is 1.5-2 L cows' milk combined with vitamins and iron, providing over 800 kcal per day. Garrow et al compared the milk diet with a VLCD, and found no significant difference in weight loss. Many people cannot tolerate so much milk and compliance is often poor.
Single-food diets
Diets such as the grapefruit diet or the cabbage soup diet are based on the premise that certain foods have fat-burning properties. There is no evidence to support these claims; weight loss can be dramatic but only because of the strict calorie reduction involved. The cabbage soup diet is generally a 7-day, quick-fix diet comprising vast quantities of homemade cabbage soup supplemented by vegetables, rice and occasional meat.
The New Beverley Hills diet allows only fruit, and not only that, but different fruits should not be consumed on the same day; some days only melon should be eaten, on other days grapes. A diet consisting exclusively of fruit has the obvious drawbacks of being tedious and of containing insufficient fat, protein, iron, calcium, vitamin B12 and many other vital nutrients.
